Translation Orders

How much does one page of translation cost?

The cost of translation depends on several factors, including the languages required and the type of translation (standard or certified/sworn). While some providers use a per-page rate based on metrics such as 1,800 characters with spaces or 250 words, at our agency we calculate the cost of standard translations based on the word count of the source text.

This approach is transparent and fair – you pay only for the actual content being translated. The word-based model allows for precise pricing, avoiding confusion caused by varying definitions of a “translation page”.

How can I place a translation order?

Ordering a translation is simple and flexible – we offer several options to suit your needs. You can use the form on our website to provide the project details and upload your files. Our team will then get in touch to confirm the details and prepare a quote. Alternatively, you can email your request and documents directly to us. We’ll respond with an offer and arrange the next steps with you. If you have an account in our LivoLINK system, you can log in and place your order directly through the platform – making it easy to track your project’s progress.

How long does it take to receive a quote?

We typically provide a quote on the same day. For urgent requests, we’ll get in touch promptly to meet your deadline.
The response time may vary depending on the number and complexity of the files. In some cases, we may need additional information to give you an accurate estimate.
In every situation, we aim to make the quoting process as fast and convenient as possible.

How long does a translation take?

The turnaround time depends on a few key factors – such as the length of the document, its complexity, the target language, and whether the translation is standard or certified.
A standard output is around 8 pages per day. More complex or lengthy texts may require additional time. We always try to accommodate your deadlines and, whenever possible, offer express translation services.

Do you offer proofreading of translated texts?

Yes, we offer translation proofreading services. This may include linguistic correction as well as adjustments to ensure the translation reflects industry-specific terminology. We collaborate with a network of native-speaking proofreaders to ensure the highest quality. We also offer review services – if you’re unsure about the accuracy or quality of an existing translation, we can verify and improve it to meet required standards.

Is the translation confidential?

Yes – we ensure complete confidentiality. We protect client data and document contents with appropriate security measures. Our commitment to information security is confirmed by certifications:

Do you translate websites?

Yes – we provide website translation services. We work with both static HTML sites and dynamic content, maintaining the original structure and functionality. This ensures that the translated version mirrors the original in both appearance and user experience. Depending on your website’s setup, we will recommend the most effective method for content extraction and localisation.

Do you translate videos and multimedia content?

Yes – we translate videos and multimedia content. As part of this service, we first transcribe the spoken content and then provide subtitles in the target language. This makes your video accessible to a wider audience, including non-native speakers.

Sworn translations

What is the difference between a sworn and a standard translation?

A sworn translation (also called a certified translation) is produced by a state-authorised sworn translator, accredited by the Ministry of Justice. These translations are formal legal documents accepted in legal and administrative proceedings.


A standard translation, on the other hand, does not require such accreditation and is suitable for everyday use – such as emails, technical texts or website content.

Do I need to provide the original document for a sworn translation?

In general, yes – a sworn translator must confirm the accuracy of the translation against the original document. If a scanned copy is clear and legible, the translation may be completed on that basis. However, some institutions may require submission of the physical original.
If a paper version of the certified translation is needed, we can send it by post or courier (e.g. DPD).

Do you offer sworn translations with an electronic signature?

Yes – we provide sworn translations signed with a qualified electronic signature. These documents are fully legally valid in digital form and can be submitted to offices, courts, or other institutions requiring certified electronic documentation.

What does a completed sworn translation look like?

Unlike standard translations, sworn translations include the translator’s official seal and signature, certifying that the content is true to the original.
Sworn documents are suitable for official use in courts, public offices and legal proceedings. The translated file is not formatted to match the visual layout of the original – stamps, logos and graphic elements are described textually.

What is “authentication” in the context of sworn translations?

Authentication of a translation means that the translator confirms its accuracy and fidelity to the original. The sworn translator signs the document and applies their official seal, giving the translation full legal validity.
If you already have a bilingual document issued by an authority or have previously commissioned a standard translation from us, the sworn version can be completed at a reduced rate – typically around 50% of the standard certified translation price.

Machine Translation

Do you offer machine translation services?

What is light post-editing?

Light post-editing involves making minor corrections to a machine-generated translation to ensure clarity and grammatical correctness. The translator focuses on fixing typos, grammatical issues and ensuring overall coherence.
The aim is to produce a text that is understandable to the reader, without necessarily meeting full stylistic or editorial standards. It’s commonly used for internal documents or when deadlines are tight.

How can I request a machine translation?

To request a machine translation, you can contact us directly. Pricing is determined individually based on the text length and target language.
If you’re interested in regular access to LivoTRANSLATE, we also offer subscription-based plans – allowing you to translate large volumes of content at an affordable rate.

When is machine translation better than traditional translation?

Machine translation is a good choice when speed is a priority – for instance, when translating large volumes of content like reports, articles or internal emails.
It’s especially suitable when high linguistic quality is not required, and the material is for internal use only.
Machine translation also works well with simple vocabulary and grammar, and when texts do not contain specialised terminology. In such cases, it helps save both time and cost.

Interpreting Services

Do you offer interpreting?

Yes – we provide interpreting services in a range of languages. Our experienced interpreters are ready to assist in various settings, including business meetings, phone calls, negotiations, and live events.
Depending on your needs, we offer consecutive or simultaneous interpreting.

What is the difference between consecutive and simultaneous interpreting?

There are two main types of interpreting. In consecutive interpreting, the interpreter speaks after the speaker finishes a section of speech, often taking notes and then relaying the content in segments. In simultaneous interpreting, the interpreter translates in real time, almost simultaneously with the speaker, often using specialised audio equipment.

What preparation is needed for interpreting at a meeting?

To ensure a smooth interpreting experience, preparation is key. It’s highly beneficial to share relevant materials in advance – such as presentations, reports, or documents that will be discussed.
This allows the interpreter to familiarise themselves with key terminology and subject matter.
It’s also helpful to inform us about the structure of the meeting and the participants involved, including the languages being used – so the interpreter is fully prepared for the dynamics and flow of the conversation.

Can your interpreters assist with remote or online events (e.g. MS Teams or Google Meet)?

Yes – our interpreters are fully equipped to work at remote and online meetings or conferences.
Using modern tools that support real-time interpreting, we can offer both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting online. Interpreters work through videoconferencing platforms, delivering fast and accurate interpretation, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.

What information do you need to plan an interpreting assignment?

To organise interpreting services effectively, it’s important we have a few essential details up front.

Start with the date, time and expected duration of the meeting. Please also let us know the subject matter as this helps us assign an interpreter who’s familiar with the relevant terminology and industry context. If there are any presentations, documents or reference materials being used during the session, sharing them in advance is a big help. We’ll also need to know which languages will be spoken, and whether the meeting will take place on-site or remotely (e.g. via MS Teams or Google Meet).
