Machine Translation Quality Estimation (MTQE)

The MTQE algorithm evaluates the semantic accuracy of machine-translated content. Using a scoring scale, it identifies which segments of the text are low-risk and likely correct, and which ones require further editorial intervention.

In parallel, the system also analyses the post-editing effort required – showing how much human input was needed to bring the machine translation up to standard. This insight is essential for effective management of multilingual content workflows.

For example, if certain segments consistently require a disproportionately high level of editing, this information can be used to improve future workflows – such as refining the source content or providing post-editors with helpful reference materials.
